Under present legislation, people as young as 12 can participate in the sport (under supervision).  A minimum of class "A" type licence, with a "Target Shooting" classification is required.

Should people not have a licence, then it is best to discuss how to get one with the club.  We have a number of very experienced shooters, in addition to accredited "Firearms Safety Awareness Testing Officers" who can assist and guide a potential member through the process.

People who are under 18 receive a "Commissioners Permit", after completeing a Safety Awareness Course.  This Permit does not allow them to purchsed firearms or ammunition and they must shoot under supervision.
